Washington Archbishop Donald Wuerl will deliver the Sixth Annual Little Flower/John Carroll Society Lecture on Sunday, March 21, at 3:00 p.m., at the Church of the Little Flower, 5607 Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda. The title of Archbishop Wuerl’s lecture is: Why Priests? This lecture is a reflection on the 2009-2010 Year for Priests proclaimed by Pope Benedict XVI in celebration of the 150th anniversary of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests worldwide. The year, the Pope declared, is "meant to deepen the commitment of all priests to interior renewal for the sake of a stronger and more incisive witness to the Gospel in today’s world...."
